MIDLAND, TEXAS - Janet Denison makes an interesting point about prayer. When she speaks at Tuesday’s Midland Prayer Breakfast, she’ll ponder the notion about why God, who knows all things, calls people to pray. The answer is simple.

“God likes to talk to us. Prayer maintains our relationship with Him,” she said.

Denison will actually be returning to Midland. Her husband served as pastor for First Baptist Church here from 1988 through 1994. Then she helped with the church while raising young children. She returns as a grandmother, author and teacher ...
