President Wardlaw announces plans to retire in 2022
President Theodore J. Wardlaw, the ninth president of Austin Seminary, has announced his decision to retire next year. He plans to stay in office until his successor is named, possibly by June 30 but no later than the end of the 2022 calendar year.

Faculty journal an asset for Christian formation
The fall 2021 issue of our faculty journal Insights ("Just the Right Word") addresses language choice when speaking of matters of faith. In her lead article, "On 'Kingdom and Kindom' The Promise and the Peril," Assistant Professor of New Testament Dr. Bridgett Green discusses the debate over the potentially problematic use of "kingdom" in the Lord's Prayer and other scripture. The issue includes reflections about language by scholars and pastors and is available to read here. Additionally, Insights: the Podcast, features a recorded conversation between Professor Green and Insights Editor Professor Bill Greenway.
