PRESBYTERY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY - Since 1666, Presbyterians in Newark have planted dozens of congregations. Each of these gathered and sent out transformed citizens who helped civic, commercial, and educational institutions flourish in Jesus’ name.
Today the presbytery boldly asks, “Why can’t the next 100 years be as life-giving and world-changing as the past?” Though a difficult journey, sessions are abandoning church survival models to explore new expressions of faithful, growing ministries .
