MIDLAND/ODESSA, TEXAS - For 16 years, Jim Sundberg donned the “Tools of Ignorance” as a major league catcher, battling the rough and tumble conditions that come with the demanding position.

But Sundberg, who spent the first decade of his career with the Texas Rangers from 1974-1983, brings with him a shining persona of positivity and hope that is anything but ignorant.
