ABILENE, TEXAS - Portraying Jesus in a musical production isn’t for everyone, and Dillon Cobb admits to some trepidation when he was asked to take on the role for the annual summer musical at Southern Hills Church of Christ.

But he’s off to a good start, showing a heart for others by deflecting praise and credit to the rest of the cast.

“The others carry the show,” he said.

This will be the sixth year for the church to produce a home-grown musical as part of vacation Bible school ...
