From @FWMission ... Friday Story: “Guess how many lives you lifted in our x2 Gift Challenge?”

Founded in 2001, Free Wheelchair Mission is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to providing wheelchairs for the impoverished disabled in developing nations. Headquartered in Irvine, California, FWM works around the world in partnership with a vast network of humanitarian, faith-based and government organizations, sending wheelchairs to hundreds of thousands of disabled people, providing not only the gift of mobility, but of dignity, independence, and hope.

Friday Story: “Guess how many lives you lifted in our x2 Gift Challenge?

We are grateful beyond words.

Our goal for October's x2 gift challenge was to raise funds to provide wheelchairs for 18,500 people living with disabilities in developing countries.

But thanks to the generosity of friends like you and the generous donors who doubled your gifts, we not only reached this goal—you helped us smash through it!

You helped provide 23,279 new wheelchairs through our x2 Gift Challenge!

This means that you are helping to transform the lives of 23,279 individuals, along with the lives of members of their families and communities, with the gift of mobility. Your gifts are truly multiplying their impact!

Thank you for taking the x2 Gift Challenge, and for being part of Free Wheelchair Mission. You never cease to amaze, humble, and awe us with your generosity and support.

With gratitude,
The Free Wheelchair Mission Team

Celebrate the Holidays With the Gift of Mobility

This season, give a gift that keeps on giving!

Purchase a Christmas or Holiday Card and you will gift a free wheelchair to someone in a developing country who desperately needs one but cannot afford one.

Or, in lieu of or in addition to greeting cards, you can give a donation as part of our “Season of Giving.” Make a tax-deductible, year-end gift by December 31 to take advantage of current tax laws.
