Lodoi Development Fund (LDF) is a Ugandan Non-Government Organisation (NGO) working in Pallisa District in Eastern Uganda. LDF is working to provide a better life for people, most especially children and women, in rural communities. LDF initiates different programmes in the project area to help improve the lives of community members ...
... one of those programmes is Microfinance.
Lodoi Development reports that, "As signs of improved health in the project area were witnessed – and therefore a stronger workforce put in place – families gradually began to realise a small family income. The culture of savings is alien to most areas of rural Uganda, and LDF introduced a savings and credit programme, to not only help community members to save their small income, but also to access loan capital to kick start small business ventures."
