SHANXI, CHINA – Chinese human rights lawyer Chang Weiping’s case will have a pretrial meeting at the Fengxian Detention Center, the remote city where he is being held. Because Chang Weiping’s lawyer signed a confidentiality agreement with the judicial authorities, Chang Weiping’s lawyer is not at liberty to disclose the case and could only inform Chang Weiping’s wife of procedural information in a discreet and brief manner. ...
