MIDLAND, TEXAS - What is real joy? According to Chris Coursey, director of Life Model Works, a nonprofit organization dedicated to uncovering connections between neuroscience, Scripture and joy, it’s about building relationships with other people.
“A joyful person keeps relationships bigger than problems,” he said. “When they see people, they’re content. They have a lot of peace. … (They’re) authentically glad to be with other people.”
To help Midlanders uncover real joy, Life Model Works will hold its first “Joy Starts Here!” conference in Midland next weekend. The two-day conference will take place 7-9 p.m. April 11 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 12 at Midland Shared Spaces, 3500 N. “A” Street.
