ABILENE, TEXAS - Jimmy Kessler was searching through the card catalog at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in Cincinnati when he made a discovery that led him to take action.
He was from Texas and was looking for information on Texas Jewish congregations for his graduate studies.
“He looked in the card catalog and found two cards,” said Davie Lou Solka, president of the Texas Jewish Historical Society.
