ABILENE, TEXAS - Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has delivered nearly 160 million shoebox gifts to children in more than 160 countries and territories, but you don’t have to leave Abilene to get a glimpse of the spirit behind it.
Each year, local churches, organizations and individuals participate by filling a standard size shoebox with Christmas goodies that any child would love to get on Christmas morning. The children who take part locally get as much out of it as those on the receiving end ...
