ODESSA, TEXAS - As temperatures drop in the Permian Basin many are cranking up the heater to stay warm, but, sadly this isn’t an option for everyone in West Texas.

“Helping people and being the light in the community is something that is worth more than anything you can make. For us, providing a safe place for someone to go for when it’s really cold and not just that you don’t have to suffer the outdoor elements just come in and we’ll take care of you that way throughout the shelter,” says Clara Gomez, the Commanding Officer at the Salvation Army of Odessa ...
