The family of Karl and Jenny Teichert are serving the Lord as missionaries with OC Africa, in South Africa. They moved to Johannesburg in November, 1997 with their four children; Ann, Scott, Stephen and John. Karl serves as the Southern Africa Director of the Southern Africa Regional Team. Their vision is to see a healthy, Bible-based church established in every unreached village and community in South Africa, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Zambia and beyond. Their strategy is to partner with key African church leaders to research, train, and mobilize the body of Christ to complete the Great Commission. They are striving to equip local leaders in Southern Africa to reach their nations for Christ and send missionaries into other countries as well.

Dear prayer partners,
Trust you are well and growing in your intimacy with our Heavenly Father. We would appreciate your prayers for us in the following ways:
Please pray for the HIV/AIDs home-based caregivers in Finetown, as Jenny has been helping them start a small business, along with Jabu, an entrepreneurial coach, in hopes that the caregivers could become self-sustainable. They recently harvested their first tomatoes (six boxes). Please pray against theft in the community garden and that the project would go from strength to strength in providing for their families and community.

Please pray for Karl, Dinah and Thomas (OC Africa Associates) as they participate in the Global Summit for Church and Disciple Multiplication in a SE Asia country from 4-8 February. They will be joined by leaders from 14 other regions of the world to increase learning and collaboration toward gospel movements in the remaining peoples of the world. The purpose of this workshop is to empower you to intentionally alongside movement leaders / teams to better accelerate disciple-making churches. Please pray for them as they co-facilitate a workshop on Multiplication through Coaching and Mentoring.

Please pray for Karl and OC Africa Area Team as they intentionally identify and develop strategic Africa leaders in West, Central, North and East Africa. Prayer for Karl as he joins Jon in facilitating leadership coaching workshops in Senegal, Guinea-Bissau and Gambia from 12-24 February. Jon will be teaching on Steward Leadership. Karl will then join Mario (OC Africa Associate) to meet with leaders in North Africa and Central Africa Republic from 25 February-5 March. Their hope is to continue to build into key strategic Christian leaders who can complete Christ’s great commission in their nations. Please pray for safe travels, effective training, and fruitful follow-up.
