Daily Devotional from @mmm_water ... Would you like to pray with us?
During this trying time - with people are isolated and nervous, perhaps even scared of what is to come - Marion Medical Mission (MMM) thought their supporters might enjoy remembering past miracles and connecting with others to pray for everyone affected by the virus, both here and around the world. They are sending a short devotion each Monday, Wednesday & Friday morning, continuing until quarantine restrictions are lifted. These devotions have been written by volunteers and staff members about their experiences with MMM; each is uplifting, positive and beautifuly written. We think these devotions are timeless and may provide comfort and connection for those who read them and pray with them. If you'd like to be on added to that list, email MMM HERE
Sharing the love of Jesus by providing safe, clean, sustainable sources of drinking water to the extreme poor in sub-Saharan Africa, Marion Medical Mission is one of our mission partners at Grace Presbyterian Church of Midland, Texas, and we STRONGLY encourage you to read these devotions to learn more about - and pray for! - their mission.
Fear Not
Thomas Standwell Soko
MMM Field Officer, Zambia
“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Matthew 10: 28
For God says blessed is the one who loses his life for His sake and will gain life, and the one who keeps or protects his life loses it. For it is better and good to sacrifice in order to serve God’s people better and diligently in all areas of human endeavors.
God, instill the spirit of love, humility and humanity in all those trying to instill fear in us, to make us feel to freely execute your work of serving your beloved people by providing to them the precious commodity of the Protected, Safe and Clean drinking Water, through perceptional attacks. Give us more courage, not to ever work in fear.
Application Question: "How do you respond when people try to instill fear?"
Prayer: Dear My Almighty God of Mercy, I ask You to continue giving me courage and strength to continue trusting that You are in charge and that Your Will does always prevail and is sufficient. You strengthen my faith, O Lord, to continue following You in every aspect of my whole life. Lord so that, I shall not lose any part of my body to the evil attacks of my adversaries. In the name of Your only begotten Son Lord Jesus Christ, who died on the Cross, to save us from our iniquities/sin, I pray, Amen! And Amen!"
