Faces of Children is an ecumenical prayer ministry under the auspices of First Presbyterian Church of Midland, Texas. Our mission is to initiate ministries of prayer for children in churches, communities, and neighborhoods. In doing so, we seek to provide an opportunity for people of God to join together, learn about children and their needs throughout the world, and celebrate Christ's love (especially as it relates to children).A message from Chris Laufer, Coordinator, Faces of Children

I am still finding it hard to believe that we are more than midway through November and well on our way into the Christmas season. So in celebration of that, and the fact that the first Sunday in Advent fast approaches, I've included an Advent devotion by Henri J.M. Nouwen with the prayer list this week. May his words bless your time of preparation and waiting for the arrival of our Savior.
We will not meet this coming Wednesday, November 25, 2009 because of conflicts with the Thanksgiving holiday schedule. However, we will meet the following week, Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at the regular time.
