FBR Report: "Rebuilding and Reuniting in Mosul"

The Free Burma Rangers (FBR) is a multi-ethnic humanitarian service movement. They bring help, hope and love to people in the war zones of Burma (Myanmar) and the Middle East. Groups send teams to be trained, supplied and sent into the areas under attack to provide emergency assistance and human rights documentation. Together with other groups, the teams work to serve people in need.

Rebuilding and Reuniting in Mosul

The battle to retake Mosul from ISIS took 10 months, ending in July 2017, but unfortunately, it takes longer to rebuild a city than to destroy it. We drove into the city on a dismal day in February 2018. Rubble is still everywhere: roads, bridges, buildings remain in shambles. The people are coming back nonetheless and now, in addition to the aftermath of destruction, the residents must also deal with traffic ...
