In the News ... "Learning takes on international focus at Hardin-Simmons University"


• CEDAR Program wrapped-up July 27th

ABILENE, TEXAS - The campus of Hardin-Simmons University will have a distinctive international flavor for the next two weeks as 28 leaders from religious and non-governmental organizations gather for a joint program called “Hospitality and the Stranger.”

The program, which begins Monday and goes through July 27, is sponsored by Communities Engaging with Difference and Religion (CEDAR), which has facilitated more than 40 similar programs all over the world since 2003.

The contingent gathering at HSU represents Uganda, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Bulgaria, Romania, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Zimbabwe, Tajikistan and the United States ...
