MIDLAND, TEXAS - The Hindu Association of West Texas’ annual Diwali Cultural Program has been set for 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Midland County Horseshoe Pavilion at 2514 Arena Trail, offering Indian cuisine, children dancing in native costumes and other features celebrating Indian culture.

Dr. Manoher Gurru, event chairman, said “Diwali” means “a series of lighted lamps, which is why it is known as the festival of lights." ...
