MINUTE FOR MISSION: CHRISTMAS JOY OFFERING - Through the Christmas Joy Offering, caring Presbyterians provide needed financial assistance to the household of faith—namely, the families of pastors, missionaries, and other church workers. Each year more than 1,000 PC(USA) church workers receive grants administered by the Assistance Program of the Board of Pensions, primarily for reasons of financial hardship. The Christmas Joy Offering provides a significant portion of the funding for these grants.
