MIDLAND, TEXAS - The West Texas Food Bank symbolically broke ground on the upcoming community volunteer center by pulling down a sheet-metal panel from the existing structure.

“I want you to take a really good look, because in the spring of 2016, these surrounding grounds and building will be transformed into a 20,000- square-foot facility that will encapsulate the vision and the dreams of a very dedicated group of people,” said Libby Campbell, executive director of the food bank, while addressing the crowd gathered at the site of the facility, off Andrews Highway and Loop 250 ...
