I've known Pastor Madan for a few years, and am so impressed with his zeal and endurance. He's been met with a lot of opposition but it hasn't stopped his passion for sharing the love of Jesus. He was even arrested and held in jail for sharing the Gospel, but it didn't shake his faith and evangelistic heart. A month after his release he built a friendship with one of the police officers that arrested him, and the officer became a Christian!
Pastor Madan and others have shared with me how important the annual pastors' conference is for them. Every year at the conference I have a few pastors confess that they have considered quitting the ministry because it is so hard. But the time at the conference infused life, encouragement, and contagious passion to continue the work. As Pastor Bhim shared with me, "I came to this conference discouraged and sad. But I have a new boldness and courage now. It's like my batteries have been charged."
The next annual conference is March 19-21, and I want to ask you to start praying now. Pray for the conference speakers as they prepare their talks on God's grace and abundance (John 1:16). Pray for the pastors that will travel to the conference, some of them traveling for 3-5 days on foot, bicycle and bus. Pray for their spouses who will be joining them this year. Pray for God to move in mighty ways to encourage and propel the pastors in their ministry. And pray that God will provide the necessary funding for the conference.
