MIDLAND, TEXAS - Midland Soup Kitchen Ministry has been serving the area for 35 years, and since they opened, they’ve prepared Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for hundreds of people.
Last year, they fed about 650 people for Thanksgiving and close to 800 for Christmas, said Nancy Ivy. Ivy and her husband, Jason, run the soup kitchen with their sons, Jay Anthony and Nathen.
Ivy said preparations for Thanksgiving begin the Sunday before when she thaws out 32 turkeys ...
