From Outreach Foundation ... Mission Partnership Update

• Responding to God’s call in good times and bad

The Outreach Foundation is not a traditional relief agency. One of our priorities is cultivating deep, long-term relationships all over the world. We work in partnership and when our partners are hurting, whether from an explosion or a pandemic or a war, we want to help. Help from us is usually swift and effective, thanks in large part to you, our faithful and generous donors.

But there is another reason we can be swift and effective in times of disaster and in our day-to-day operations, and that is our committed and passionate staff.

When the port in Beirut exploded, we were in direct contact with our partners in the region within hours. Our communications team had the Beirut Compassion Fund appeal up in 24 hours and our financial staff sent an initial wire of $20,000 within the next 24. This is just one example of what it means to work in partnership—not just with donors and not just with international partners but within our own organization.

After 24 years with The Outreach Foundation, I continue to be impressed by and proud of the way we, as a team, respond to God’s call in good times and bad. With grace and passion and firm commitment to transparency and honoring donor designations, we answer Jesus’s commandment to serve his people and spread his word.

Most of our time is focused on understanding what partners need and raising the funds that will enable them to meet those needs. But once a year through the Annual Appeal, we ask for funds to keep us, the staff of The Outreach Foundation, doing this work that we love. We love being able to send you a picture of a child in Haiti who is in school or of a church in Syria which is rebuilding a bombed-out sanctuary or of graduating evangelists in Mozambique who will have their first church and a skill that will feed their family. We love the fact that you know that the funds you send to us will be used as you have designated. We love being in partnership—with you, the child, the church, and the evangelists.

Thank you for allowing us to do what we love by supporting our Annual Appeal.
