Dynamic of cross to focus festival-goers on weekend message, speaker says

MIDLAND, TEXAS - Armed with an ax, a sledgehammer and 12-inch spikes, Christian speaker Joe White said he should have no trouble drawing the Rock the Desert crowd's focus toward God.Scheduled to take the main stage at 7 p.m. August 7, White said while the atmosphere at the annual festival may at times be loud and chaotic, with his own pounding of nails to create a replica of the cross accompanied by the message of Christ, both youth and adults likely will quickly turn their focus to the Gospel presentation.
