Medical tent stays busy during RTD weekend

MIDLAND, TEXAS - A lack of water, too much heat and West Texas dust ... those kept the medical staff at this year's Rock the Desert busy as they've tended to one of the heaviest workload of patients they've seen in the past 11 years.
The 35 volunteers, which included Paramedics, EMTs and students, were working to treat their 97th patient inside the medical tent at the Christian music festival around 4 p.m. Saturday and expected several more later that afternoon until the final concert was to finish."
