Festival provides chance to give back, family atmosphere

MIDLAND, TEXAS - Even with more people roaming in front of the main stage than living in their entire town, members of Veribest Baptist Church said they're always glad when they walk through the entrance gates at Rock the Desert.
"This is a great event," said Amy Brown, who drove up from the small city near San Angelo that in the 2000 census boasted 40 citizens. "It gets better and better every year."
