In the News ... "Students to lead See You at the Pole events"

MIDLAND, TEXAS - Church leaders are hoping the students who lead their peers in prayer around their schools' flag poles next week can be the start of a rejuvenation of a decades-old tradition in Midland.

This year's See You at the Pole, which will take place about a half hour before school Wednesday at junior high and high school campuses across the country, will focus locally on the Scripture of Joshua 6:16. The last half of the verse reads, "Joshua commanded the army, 'Shout! For the Lord has given you the city!'"

Students in Midland plan to pray for the city and its leaders as well as those from their school communities and the nation.
