ODESSA, TEXAS - Starting Thursday an Odessa tradition turns 22 years old and it has nothing to do with turkey day but everything to do with a Merry Christmas.

The Empty Stocking Fund, a joint effort of the Odessa American and the Salvation Army, will again ask Odessans to extend a hand to their neighbors who are struggling.

A difficult economy has sent many Odessa families into difficult times, and a merry Christmas may not be in the picture for some ...
