ABILENE, TEXAS - A sign on the door at Abilene Hope Haven says, “Community Heroes Work Here.”

At least one of those employees, Haley Stromberg, can post another “hero” label on her door. Stromberg was nominated by her husband, Zach Stromberg, as an Everyday Hero. The couple lives at Abilene Hope Haven, a temporary shelter on Treadaway Boulevard for homeless individuals and families ...
