WAW Wednesday ... "1.24.18 -- I was in prison and you visited me."

"The Word at Work is a ministry that mobilizes churches and individuals to answer God's call to minister to those in need," writes Rev. Tim Tam, Director of the Amarillo, Texas-based ministry. "Through our relationships, God reveals needs and opportunities for service. As we come along side the poor, new friendships develop and doors for ministry open. As we serve, God provides the resources to supply for the needs he reveals."

WAW Wednesday: "1.24.18 -- I was in prison and you visited me."

Friends,

Mollie just returned from a week in Belize alongside International Outreach (IO) - an Amarillo nonprofit that is answering God's call to serve in Belize. IO's team included A/C technicians and dental hygienists along with others who were anxious to serve wherever needed. The team renewed their relationship with Global Outreach and Belize Vo-Tech; they installed and repaired several A/C units and saw nearly 500 dental patients!

The team also made a visit to the Belize Central Prison - we are prayerful that seeds that were planted may grow into an A/C training program for those currently incarcerated.

This week we are sharing Lisa Hayward's message with you -- Lisa's story is a great example of how TWAW connects the people of God with causes that matter to God in ways that honor Him ... we are grateful to be a part of her ministry!

Here is another shot from International Outreach's time in Belize. This is their second trip and the team was really happy to reconnect with friends they made at Global Outreach. New friends and opportunities are on the horizon for the future for them!

Would you please pray with us?

 • Stanley Herrera's cancer has returned. Please pray for healing, energy, and comfort for Stanley and the kids at Kings' Children Home.

 • Spring Break is almost upon us - please pray for all of our Belize partners who will be working with U.S. groups - as well as the U.S. team members as they prepare for their trips. Pray for God to reveal His plan and that all involved will experience His presence.

 • Members of our Board of Directors are headed to Belize next month for their annual meeting -- pray that God will reveal His vision for our ministry to this group of dedicated people who are relentless in their service to TWAW!

 • Please keep Tim Tam on your prayer list as he's facing another back surgery soon.

 • Mollie Swafford's mother died right before Christmas - please continue to lift up Mollie and her brothers in Georgia.

Resources Needed

Our partners have let us know that there are resources that will further their ministry -- maybe you have a connection that will help provide them?

 • BUS NEEDED FOR TRANSPORTATION OF LEADERSHIP AND CHURCH MEMBERS AT EXODUS / FIRST STONE

 • FUNDING FOR ENTREPRENEURIAL TRAINING FOR BELIZE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT TEAM ($2K USD)

Email Tim Tam if God is leading you to help! Thank you!!
