Partners Blog: "Empowering Rohingya Communities"

Steve and Oddny Gumaer started Partners Relief and Development in response to the needs of refugees and displaced people from Burma, and now in the Middle East, as well. Their mission is to demonstrate, through holistic action, God’s love to children and communities made vulnerable by war in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and other conflict zones.

Since 25 August 2017 more than 688,000 refugees have fled ethnic cleansing in Myanmar and made their way to the relative safety of Bangladesh. Partners has been able to respond to this massive need with food, shelter, medicine and warm clothes - literally saving many lives. However we are not just stopping there. Partners vision is for “free, full lives for children affected by conflict and oppression” and free, full lives means more than just surviving ...
