ABILENE, TEXAS - College students don’t write essays on what they did on their summer vacations, but if they did a lot of local students would have great stories to tell.

Working with orphans in Romania.

Digging up iguana eggs in Puerto Rico.

Working with physical therapy patients in Kenya.

With three Christian universities in town, all set to begin classes Monday, it’s only natural that quite a few students would spend part of the summer on mission trips — and yes, digging up iguana eggs in Puerto Rico was part of a mission trip ...
