September 1 - October 31 is Marion Medical Mission Well Season for 2021. The season will include daily devotionals - one for each day the U.S. volunteers are overseas, sharing the love of Jesus by providing safe, clean, sustainable sources of drinking water to the extreme poor in sub-Saharan Africa. Marion Medical Mission is one of our mission partners at Grace Presbyterian Church of Midland, Texas, and we STRONGLY encourage you to read these devotions to learn more about - and pray for! - their mission.

JESUS IS WITH US ALL THE TIME
Lewis Silungwe
MMM Field Officer, Malawi
"And Jesus came and spoke to them saying,
“All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.
Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them
in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Teaching them to observe all the things that I have commanded
you; and lo, I am with you always even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20:9
Brethren in the Lord, this is a very familiar passage-the great commission. But
I want us to look at it from a different angle. In the last verse Jesus is making a
promise…”I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” I am very encouraged
and motivated to soldier on all the time as I remember these words. They give hope!
They speak life!
If we look at the passage and follow it, we see Christ start by assuring us that all
authority both in Heaven and on earth is given to him. What else do we need? This
assurance is enough. It is from the source, yes, from God. What shall we fear?
Christ is sending us to go make disciples. He knows that we are going into the world
of unbelievers, the unsaved world, the unfavorable environment. That is why he says
“! am with you always.” Christ says, “Go, make disciples.” Some preach, some teach
and many other ways, but at MMM we do it all. We preach, we teach, we inspire, we
motivate. We are the change villagers are waiting for, we are their answered prayer.
Though we journey through difficult roads and trails, valleys and hills, in scorching
sun and unexpected rains and mud, scary bridges and terrifying darkness, with
uncomfortable accommodation and meals… Remember the silent promise from
Christ....”I am with you always even to end of the age.”
Application Question: What will you accomplish today, knowing that Christ is with
you?
Prayer: Today, Lord, let us rise again with joy and gladness, knowing that Christ is
with us always even to the end of the age. Amen.
