WAW Wednesday ... "4/10/19 -- Vacation with a purpose!"

"The Word at Work is a ministry that mobilizes churches and individuals to answer God's call to minister to those in need," writes Rev. Tim Tam, Director of the Amarillo, Texas-based ministry. "Through our relationships, God reveals needs and opportunities for service. As we come along side the poor, new friendships develop and doors for ministry open. As we serve, God provides the resources to supply for the needs he reveals."

WAW Wednesday: "4/10/19 -- Vacation with a purpose!"

Friends,

Belize is an awesome place to take your family on vacation. But one family was hoping to find more then beauty and adventure, they wanted to participate in something meaningful. So, we came up with an opportunity for them to get their hands dirty and make some new friends. And their financial contribution was just what was needed to provide a new home for a family in need.

Meet the Barrientos family. Dad is a hard-working farmer with 3 children (Number 4 should be here in about a week). Valley of Peace Partners will recruit volunteers from their local churches to construct yet another home. This will be a beautiful picture of the body of Christ in motion. Families will meet, children will play, hammers will pound, Kenny will lift heavy things that he shouldn't. I've attached the "before" photos so you will be able to track the difference this effort makes.

!!! This message was stuck in my outbox for a week. !!!
Finally got the program working.
The project took place last weekend.
A huge blessing and a healthy new Baby.
Watch for the photos.
