ABILENE, TEXAS - From “this will never happen” to the March 9 dedication of a water well in Kenya, the journey was long and filled with hurdles.

It was a five-year trek, marked by frustration, one committee meeting after another, endless fund-raising efforts, difficult travels and, most of all, faith.
