Invitation to Prayer from Faces of Children ... TODAY

Faces of Children is an ecumenical prayer ministry under the auspices of First Presbyterian Church of Midland, Texas. Their mission is to initiate ministries of prayer for children in churches, communities, and neighborhoods. In doing so, they seek to provide an opportunity for people of God to join together, learn about children and their needs throughout the world, and celebrate Christ's love (especially as it relates to children).

Invitation to Prayer ... TODAY

Hi Friends,

If you're in Midland this week, we'll be meeting at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10 - TODAY - for prayer. We meet in the prayer closet at First Presbyterian Church of Midland, Texas. Please join us in lifting up the needs of vulnerable children in our community and around the world!

Blessings,

Carrie

Dear Intercessors,

IN YEMEN, both sides of the conflict use blocking cholera vaccines and other medical aide as a weapon of war, leading to the worst cholera outbreak in modern history...

IN THE PHILIPPINES, a California policeman joins IJM in their continued efforts to help local police crack down on the virtual sexual abuse of children ... but given widespread technological advances, it's nearly impossible to stop.

IN PAKISTAN, advocates report that 90 percent of working and street children are sexually abused, in a country where rampant abuse is so common it's almost a cultural-norm ... so common the government isn't even attempting to stop it.

This week, I found these headlines in a matter of minutes... a tidal wave of injustice. As I read these stories, I remembered this verse from Amos. "Let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream."

Please join me in praying for God's justice to roll down ... the children in our world need His protection.

All the best,

Carrie
