MIDLAND, TEXAS - Success isn’t all about good grades, high test scores or prominent college acceptances, according to author and psychologist Madeline Levine.

“While we all hope our children do well in school, we hope with even greater fervor they will do well in life,” said Levine, who has traveled around the country for the past six years speaking about raising children in a world often ruled by report cards and standardized tests.

She is the author of “The Price of Privilege” and “Teach Your Children Well: Parenting for Authentic Success.”

Levine will speak at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and 11:30 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, 800 W. Texas Ave. Lunch will be provided Thursday; reservations are required at 432-684-7821. Admission is free.
