ODESSA, TEXAS - Doctors, nurses and administration personnel are all crucial to the healing process for patients during a hospital stay. Yet there are others in a hospital setting that can help ease the healing process, no medication required.

A hospital chaplain takes on this responsibility and is tasked with healing and supporting those while the medication sets in.

For Donita Lea, Medical Center Hospital’s newest chaplain, the task can be overwhelming at times with more than 400 beds at MCH, yet said there is no other place that she would rather be as the needs arise in the Permian Basin ...
