MIDLAND, TEXAS - Thirty-five years of preaching, the past 17 at Westside Church of Christ at 4410 W. Illinois Ave., have not wearied Michael Weldon “Mike” Vestal, who also schools young preachers in Tennessee, Colorado and other places.
“Preaching is the highest, hardest, happiest work on earth because every day we get to deal with God, the things of God and souls,” he said. “A lot of men leave preaching because they may not have a deep relationship with God themselves and may not have a love of souls as they ought” ...
