Partners Blog: "Nong Chanidar is mobile again"

Steve and Oddny Gumaer started Partners Relief and Development in response to the needs of refugees and displaced people from Burma, and now in the Middle East, as well. Their mission is to demonstrate, through holistic action, God’s love to children and communities made vulnerable by war in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and other conflict zones.

Nong Chanidar is mobile again

Nong Chanidar is a fourteen year old girl from Shan State, Myanmar. She was born in a Shan family. They came to Chiang Mai from a remote village in southern Shan State a few years ago. When she was about nine years old, she got a very high fever and was sent to a hospital in Chiang Mai city. Even though she was sent to a hospital on time, she did not have health or social insurance to cover the medical cost, so she did not receive medical treatment as she needed ...
