From CRS Rice Bowl ... "Lead the way to end global hunger"

This past Lent through CRS Rice Bowl, we met Trinh, Yvone and Maria Ana and encountered their families’ challenges with accessing food. We shared our prayers, fasting and sacrificial gifts to support families around the world and in our local communities who experience poverty and hunger.

Now I invite you to join us in CRS’ new campaign, Lead the Way on Hunger, to continue our work so that every man, woman and child may have enough nutritious food to not only survive, but thrive. We know that by working together, we can make a tangible impact in the effort to end global hunger and malnutrition.

We are excited to launch this campaign in conjunction with the 5th anniversary of Pope Francis’ encyclical, Laudato Si'. By being good stewards of our earth, we can ensure that all humankind benefits from its resources. And in this pivotal moment when COVID-19 makes people at risk of hunger and malnutrition even more vulnerable, we join together with our brothers and sisters around the world to say the scandal of hunger cannot continue.

Pray for families experiencing hunger. Learn about this critical issue. And take action that makes a difference for our global human family. Together, let us lead the way to a world without hunger!

Prayerfully,
