From Outreach Foundation ... Mission Partnership Update

• Outreach welcomes Tharwat Wahba

Beginning today, May 5th, The Outreach Foundation welcomed Dr. Tharwat Wahba as part-time Egypt Mission Consultant, working closely with our staff.

A growing number of congregations in the U.S. are being drawn to what God is doing in Egypt. Outreach has an opportunity to nurture and facilitate the connections between our churches. We are excited about God’s work in Egypt through the church and seminary and look forward to deepening our partnership and exploring new models of shared ministry with Tharwat’s help.

Twenty years ago, when our partners in Egypt were praying for a new leader to shape the church’s mission vision, they turned to one of their own pastors and professors, Tharwat Wahba. After concluding his doctoral studies, he took up his expanded role at the Evangelical Theological Seminary of Cairo (ETSC). He continues to teach mission, evangelism, and church planting. Tharwat has also guided the Synod of the Nile’s church planting work for several years.

Tharwat is married to Ibtesam Adly Girgis, and they have one daughter and two sons.

Engaging followers of Christ for His work in the world, the Outreach Foundation is committed to helping the church live out its missional calling, building the capacity of the global church, especially where the church is vulnerable or growing rapidly, and transforming lives through mission involvement.
