Teichert Prayer Letter for November

Karl and Jenny Teichert are serving the Lord as missionaries with OC Africa, in South Africa. They moved to Johannesburg in November, 1997 with their four children; Ann, Scott, Stephen and John. Karl serves as the Southern Africa Director of the Southern Africa Regional Team. Their vision is to see a healthy, Bible-based church established in every un-reached village and community in South Africa, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Zambia and beyond. Their strategy is to partner with key African church leaders to research, train, and mobilize the body of Christ to complete the Great Commission. They are striving to equip local leaders in Southern Africa to reach their nations for Christ and send missionaries into other countries as well.

November Letter ...

“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”
Jeremiah 33:3

Dear prayer partner,

We would appreciate your prayers for us in the next few weeks for the following:

CPA Coordinator Retreat – 4-5 November: Karl will facilitate the annual retreat of the Church Planting Alliance Coordinators. Pray for the review and planning for future church planting training toward the vision of a healthy church in every community in South Africa.

African Leadership Couples Conference – 6 November: Karl will be teaching about disciple-making strategies and leadership coaching skills. Pray that Karl would be used of God to bring insight and encouragement to these couples from across Southern Africa.

Memorial service for Selina Xaba – 7 November: Selina was one of the faithful HIV/AIDs care-givers that Jenny served with in Finetown. She passed away suddenly leaving four daughters. Please pray for God’s peace and provision for Selina’s family and for Jenny as she shares at the memorial service and that she can be a support during this time.

Leader as Coach workshop – 13-15 November: Karl will co-facilitate this interactive workshop to assist Christian leaders to empower and equip others towards God’s calling in their lives. Pray for God’s wisdom and strength as Karl presents this valuable training.

We are so grateful to the Lord for your partnership with us in prayer. Your faithful intercession makes a tremendous difference!

For His glory,

Karl and Jenny

ps: Christmas gift idea: Would your family like to contribute toward new tennis shoes for the Finetown care-givers for Christmas? The care-givers in Finetown walk for miles nearly everyday to serve those suffering from HIV/AIDS by ensuring they take their medications, clean their homes and bath them. A gift of $30 would buy a pair of comfortable walking shoes for a care-giver. Any amount would be greatly appreciated! Please send your donations to: OC International, PO Box 36900, Colorado Springs, CO 80936, Attn: Donor Accounting – South Africa projects.
