ODESSA, TEXAS - The United Methodist Church has voted to uphold its ban on gay marriage and homosexuality within their clergies.
Hundreds of delegates voted whether or not they should allow openly homosexual people to become clergy members and officiate gay marriages. It was a close vote as delegates were torn over the issue, but a narrow 56 percent majority decided to keep to the status quo.
