Family Promise completes first week in Midland

MIDLAND, TEXAS - Watching as her daughters ran down the hallway with their Dora toys one recent evening, the 19-year-old single mother of two shook her head, smiled and slowly trailed after her crew.
The 3- and 5-year-old girls dressed in matching light pink had made themselves right at home at Grace Lutheran Church, where the family stayed throughout last week as part of the kickoff of Midland's Family Promise program.
