MIDLAND, TEXAS - On Tuesday afternoon, a roomful of Midlanders gathered at Golf Course Road Church of Christ to address a human rights issue affecting more than just Texans or even Americans. County Commissioner and church elder Randy Prude called the meeting to raise awareness about global human trafficking and slave labor.
Prude met International Justice Mission Director of Strategic Partnerships Michelle Conn three months ago at a trafficking presentation in Midland. Since that meeting, Prude hasn’t slept so well.
