Today in the PC-USA Mission Yearbook

The Mission Yearbook for Prayer and Study is a daily devotional with 365 inspiring mission stories that come from next door and all across the globe. It inspires thousands of Presbyterians daily as they uphold the mission of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in intercessory prayer. The stories in the 2013 Mission Yearbook were gathered around the question of Jesus to his disciples, “How many loaves have you?” from Mark 6:38. The book is filled with stories of God’s abundance in the face of overwhelming needs and a scarcity of resources.

PRESBYTERY OF CHARLOTTE, NORTH AND SOUTH CAROLINA - In times of uncertainty, the people of the Presbytery of Charlotte continue to serve the needs of God’s children. The presbytery covers a seven-county region and includes 130 congregations and their 38,849 members. What started in 1982 as the 2-Cents-a-Meal (TCAM) offering provides food to thousands within our presbytery. The suggested offering per meal was increased to 10 cents in 2011 so that the presbytery could better meet the needs of its congregations and community by expanding programs related to hunger and to at-risk youth in addition to providing funds for food.
