How often have you wondered, where are the young adults in the PC(USA)? Wonder no longer. The 2014 Presbyterian Mission Yearbook for Prayer and Study is devoted to the theme of young adults in the church. MINUTE FOR MISSION: MEDICAL BENEVOLENCE FOUNDATION - Lucy Njeri Maina is a student at the Presbyterian Church of East Africa’s Tumutumu Nursing School in Kenya. Her parents are farmers in an economically challenged area of central Kenya. Lucy has four siblings, and her family sold three cows to pay the tuition so she could pursue her dream of becoming a nurse. Unable to pay for the second year, she had to drop out. Lucy held onto her hope and passion for becoming a registered community-health nurse and was overjoyed that she was granted a scholarship and could resume her studies the following year ...
