MIDLAND, TEXAS - In response to the devastating earthquake that struck the Philippines last October, the Midland-based San Miguel Archangel Catholic Church dispatched a small mission group to assist the victims in trying to rebuild their lives.
The Rev. Bernardito Getigan, a native of the Philippines, and with youth minister Roselva Ruiz led four young adults — between the ages of 19 to 21 — from the church on the mission trip in May.
