Partners Blog: "Teaching the children His parables"

Steve and Oddny Gumaer started Partners Relief and Development in response to the needs of refugees and displaced people from Burma, and now in the Middle East, as well. Their mission is to demonstrate, through holistic action, God’s love to children and communities made vulnerable by war in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and other conflict zones.

At the end of February in 2018 I went to a Bible School Closing Ceremony in Mae Rah Moe Refugee Camp and I met with a Bible School student who Partners has supported since she was in secondary school. For several years she lived in the Partners’ dormitory at Mae Rah Moe Refugee Camp. Her name is Naw Rose and she comes from Htee Hta Swin, Irrawaddy Region. She was brought up by a Christian family and she graduated high school in Mae Rah Moe Refugee Camp. After she finished junior college she continued her studies at Bible School. The 2017 academic year was her second year. She needs to study for four years to graduate form the B.T.H. English Bible School ...
